Hearing Aids – Palm Desert, California

There are many different types of hearing aids available on the market today. At Ears Hearing Healthcare, in Indio and serving the La Quinta and Palm Desert areas, we work with leading manufacturers of hearing aids (including Unitron, Phonak, Oticon and Widex) to provide you with options, so you can find the instrument to best suit your needs.

Because of the recent technological advances in the hearing aid industry, and all of the options available, it may be difficult to choose an instrument. Our trained audiologist will work with you to evaluate your degree of hearing loss and determine the best device for your impairment, your lifestyle and your budget.

Some of the different types of hearing aids we carry (and their benefits and disadvantages):

  • Behind-The-Ear (BTE) – Benefits: They provide the best amplification.  Disadvantage: They are the most visible.
  • Receiver-In-The-Ear (RITE) – Benefits: They are comfortable, may be Bluetooth compatible (depending on model). Disadvantage: May not work for severe hearing loss.
  • In-The-Canal (ITC)– Benefits: They are compatible with telephone use and less visible in the ear. They are available with some extra features. Disadvantage: They may not fit smaller ears.
  • Custom In-The-Ear– (same as ITC)
  • Completely-In-The-Canal (CIC) – Benefits: These hearing aids are compatible with telephone use, the least noticeable and are less likely to pick up wind noise. Disadvantages: They have fewer extra features and the batteries don’t last as long.

All of our hearing aids come with a 30-day trial period. We also offer maintenance on all hearing aid makes and models. In addition to instruments, we offer batteries, supplies, assistive listening devices, custom ear molds, musician’s earplugs (and other protective devices) and swim plugs.

We are committed to providing you with a better quality of life. Ears Hearing Healthcare is your audiology and hearing aid expert in the Palm Desert area in La Quinta and Indio.
